Design, develop, and deploy optimization engines for BEV charging/discharging to minimize household energy costs.
Build, train, and evaluate ML/optimization models (e.g., forecasting energy prices, demand, vehicle usage; formulating and solving control/optimization problems).
Collaborate with product manager and engineers to align development with complex multi-system environments.
Identify issues, propose solutions, and lead technical communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Work with integration teams to ensure technologies are usable and seamlessly integrated; mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices through documentation and code quality.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
7+ years in machine learning / optimization / data science
Strong programming in Python & Go; experience with ML frameworks
Experience taking ML models from prototype to production
Knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
Strong business communication skills with stakeholders
Ability to design core, well-tested building blocks; user-centric thinking
Business-level Japanese/English proficiency
