Lead the design and evolution of large-scale ingestion architectures that handle billions of events per day, ensuring correctness, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Own complex, cross-service initiatives spanning multiple teams or domains; anticipate scaling, reliability, and cost challenges before they impact customers.
Set technical direction for major subsystems and influence broader platform architecture; drive improvements in operational excellence, incident response, and observability.
Partner with engineering leadership, product, and customer-facing teams on strategic initiatives; communicate complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Serve as a technical mentor and multiplier to elevate skills and effectiveness across the organization; participate in on-call rotations with a focus on systemic fixes.
Maintain a long-term view on architecture, tradeoffs, and platform evolution to support continuous scale and efficiency.
On-site 3 days/week in Tokyo, hybrid work model.
